Postpartum Doula
As your postpartum doula, my role is to guide and nurture your family through the postpartum period and newborn phase. I will be there for you and your family whatever your postpartum journey looks like. I cultivate a calm, supportive atmosphere where healing and bonding are the priority. Postpartum support looks a little different for every family and encompasses the following:
feeding and lactation support, including formula feeding, pumping and bottle feeding
safe, realistic and sustainable sleep plans for the whole family
newborn care
assistance with sibling adjustments
meal prep catered to postpartum healing (I have experience accommodating special diets such as vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and low-histamine)
light housework: mom & baby’s laundry, tidying the nursery, stocking and organizing diapering supplies, cleaning and sterilizing pump parts and bottles, etc.
education and guidance on newborn care, feeding and other baby-related topic
Lactation Care
I believe everyone who wishes to breastfeed their baby deserves evidence-based, comprehensive lactation support. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, my lactation care services encompass the following:
comprehensive breastfeeding education
assessing and perfecting latch and positioning
assessment of oral function
assessment of milk transfer and weight gain
evidence-based flange fitting for pumping parents
a personalized, sustainable feeding plan tailored to your family's goals
after-visit reports, which you can share with other providers
For doula clients, lactation support is incorporated into their postpartum care at no additional cost.
Availability
A typical doula shift lasts 4 -5 hours. Families investing in overnight care typically book 8-10 hours. An initial lactation visit typically takes 1-2 hours with 30-60 minute follow-up visits as needed. I support families within Gainesville, FL. Clients from surrounding areas are accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on location and level of support needed. Travel fees may apply to clients outside of Gainesville city limits.
My hours of availability are:
Monday - Thursday: 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Friday: 5:00 PM - 11:59 PM (overnight)
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM (overnight)
Sunday: 12AM-10 PM
Investment
Daytime doula support (6AM - 10pm): $30 per hour, 3-hour minimum
Overnight doula support (10pm - 7am): $45 per hour, 4 hour minimum
Lactation care only: $100 initial visit (1.5 - 2 hours) , $50 follow-up (30-60 minutes)
